Good Morning from Costa Rica

Good Morning!  Today is boat day!  We will be leaving shortly for a fun filled day on the boat.  After the boat tour we will be spending some time exploring and having dinner in town.  We will not get home until late, but we will do our best to blog when we return.  I hope everything is going well at home!

Pura Vida.

  1. Hola from the Morgan family (Moira, Mary Cate and Chas) in the frigid North!!! We are re-living all the fun activities and beautiful paradise wishing we were there!!! Everyone looks like they are having a great time and staying safe despite the scorpions! Have you been seeing the monkeys? Has anyone spotted the sloth? I hope by the time you all get home the polar vortex has moved on...but more snow/ice coming our way Sunday night believe it or not. Pura Vida all!!!!

  3. Hey we hit 50 degrees in Cincinnati today with the sun shining! But tomorrow will be another story...rain, sleet and snow! Probably another snow day on Monday for St. Mary's. Every day sounds better than the last and I'm sure today's activities may be one of the highlights! Just have to ask...who was upside down on zip line or did you all do that? Miss you Kate, especially your cooking, but I know you are having the time of your life! Love you, Mom

  4. Hello Costa Rican Adventurists,

Just got back from a visit to the rainforest (in the MGM Grand hotel in Vegas). I guess that's not quite the same as the real thing . . . but they did shut off the water for 8 hours - leaving all the restrooms to be used as latrines (REALLY nasty)!

I love to hear about the monkeys waking you up every morning!
Imagine being woken up every morning that way - in your very own house . . . in Cincinnati.
I did, when I was about your age, my dad brought home 2 spider monkeys as pets. I don't recall how long they lived with us. But after one of them climbed up the side of the house - to the chimney. My dad had to climb up to the roof to get it down. After that, the monkeys went to go live in some rich guys greenhouse with his prized collection of rare orchids. Apparently, they ripped every orchid from their pot, and threw them to the floor - in the first night , destroying just about EVERYTHING! I don't know what happened to them after that, maybe they were shipped off to Costa Rica!??!!!!

On that note - I'm enjoying hearing ALL about your many and "varied" adventures in the Osa Peninsula . . . every evening.
I especially liked Go Pro video on U-tube!

Please keep the fun stories coming and send lots of pictures too!

By the way Annaliese, I told Adaliene - to raid your closet - while she can(opps). And I think I saw Mopsy wearing a pair of your underwear on her head . . .
I'm not sure what goes on around here - when I'm gone???

We miss you - but don't hurry home - cause Adaliene has a few more outfits to wear and Mopsy's hasn't finished shredding your socks!!!!

    Love to All,
    Angela Andsager
PS - Sorry - to overlook you Greg, I think that Mopsy chewed up your slippers and smoking pipe!

  5. Wow, what a beautiful sunrise.

Brittany just wanted to let you know that the Girl Scout cookies came today.....Katherine and her peeps knocked off a box of Tagalongs this afternoon and your dad is half way through a box of mints. You don't mind, do you?

Montieth was alive with kids today running around with all the amazingly sunny warm weather, it was just like spring. We will pay for it over the next few days with the snow storm moving in, one day it is 57, the next 27. It just does not seem fair.

Lulu, Olive is doing well. I managed to get her fresh water and food with out getting bitten by her like Mr. Shine does. By the way your Girl Scout cookies are safe, I had Katherine drop them off when we went up earlier!:)

We can't wait to see the pictures from today, to see all the fun things you are up to.

    Love Mom

  6. Hey Rose: What a sunrise!!! I saw some pics on facebook of the dolphin expedition (Thanks Mrs. Marx) -- too much fun!!!! Glad to see you are wearing your long sleeve shirt -- thought I saw you had a sunburn in a previous pic. Busy day here today -- just sitting down and Dad wants to go see the Lego movie with Grace for the 2nd time! He says it's hysterical! Went to Biggs before the storm tomorrow -- the place was wiped out -- but managed to get chicken fajita makings -- so bring on the snow! Have a super great time -- all of you!!!! Keep on posting those pictures and writing the recap. Love hearing all of your voices in the way you explain what's happening in CR. Love, Mom/Mrs. Hofstetter

This is a shout out to Mrs. Andsager -- love the spider monkey story!!!

  8. Hi LuLu (and everyone else). I hope everyone is remembering to wear sunscreen. I forgot today while dad and I were swimming in the Atlantic Ocean off Miami Beach and tonight my nose is quite pink. We had back to Ohio tomorrow. It sure would be a shame if the weather in Cincinnati is so bad that we have to stay here one more day. It looks like you are having a great time. Miss you and love you, Snick! Mom (Mrs. Roberts)

  9. Hey Alex!

Mom is really jealous that you are going to come back with a great tan--because we are all so pale that we are starting to glow in the dark. It is supposed to rain, sleet, and snow all day! Enjoy your trip and keep up the blogs and pictures!

  10. Kent - fortunately, the Britts can get tan by standing in front of a lightbulb!

Avery- did you really eat a jelly fish? Really?!
