Hola muchachos!
Today our fabulous adventure took us to an organic chocolate farm. Along with the delicious chocolate our tour guide picked a variety of fruits. He even cut them off with his machete. I didn't realize how many different stages it took for one chocolate bar to be crafted. The weather for the first group’s tour was a scorcher, but thanks to some rain the second group’s tour was much cooler (not as quite cool as Cincinnati.) The chocolate tastes bitter and sour when it is first picked but eventually, as it dries, it smells and tastes more like the chocolate we all love. After our tour, we enjoyed a yummy feast with fresh fruit with creamy chocolate sauce and decadent chocolate cake. The fruit and cake tasted especially good after the long walk learning all about chocolate. After learning about the vigorous chocolate making process, we all have a better appreciation for chocolate.
Peace and Blessings!

I didn't realize that chocolate was made there! I hope you aren't complaining about the temp.
ReplyDeleteMeme - Denison WON against OWU, we play finals Saturday night. Game will be 6 (Saturday) your time, so say 'Go Big Red' for 1.5 hours.

Hey Sam - sounds like the zipline was even cooler than the one designed by you, Emily and Allison for Max. Have you seen any frogs yet?
ReplyDeleteYum!
ReplyDeleteNow we are talking, who wouldn't love chocolate! Brittany was it as fun as the Harabo factory in France? Oh yes, Katherine does want samples.
ReplyDeleteChocolate farms and ziplining - definitely preferable to freezing rain, "wintery mix" and unexplainable bread/egg/milk shortages at Kroger!! SMS Kids were sent home with all their books on Friday - "Just In Case" there was a snow day on Monday!
ReplyDeleteOK Avery, if you had to guess, who won their games: Mac's team in Final Four of CYO tournament, Maarley's VB team or Reilly's VB team??? Sadly it was not Mac no Championship game today. Nor was it Marley's team who has only lost one match this year!! It was Reilly's team!! They were supposed to play today at St. Theresa, a lovely 40 minute drive north but sadly the ice brought an end to that! Winter sport season continues to hang on.....
